The UMass Lowell Farm Share Program is back for the 2023 growing season to offer weekly distributions of certified REAL Organic produce sourced from Clark Farm, located in Carlisle, MA. The Farm Share Program application is open to students, faculty and staff with a university email address. The application portal will close on Friday, May 5.
Weekly shares of produce are valued at $43, and members can expect to find a variety of assorted seasonal crops such as lettuce, strawberries and blueberries, carrots, beets, spinach, potatoes, summer and winter squash, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, cooking greens, broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes and more! Farm share members can select the option of a one-time payment for the selected program or a series of biweekly payments. The options are made available in the application.
Members will pick up their shares on Thursday afternoons each week between 1-3 p.m. at the University Crossing Lobby. Any shares that are not picked up by 3 p.m. will be donated to the UMass Lowell Strive Pantry for campus community members who are experiencing food insecurity.
