Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation Anne Maglia and the HEROES team invite you to HEROES 2023 information session on Open Call for new Projects on Thursday, Feb. 16 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Ball Hall 210.

U.S. Army DEVCOM-Soldier Center will solicit concept papers in the following Soldier Center’s Research Focus Areas.

  • Emergent Materials
  • Human Performance and Training
  • Robotics and Autonomy

An overview of total of the nine specific topics will be provided by the new DEVCOM SC Co-Director of HEROES Ravi Mosurkal, during this information session. This call is based on new research and development areas that are of interest to DEVCOM SC and it will help expand the HEROES technology portfolio to empower soldiers.

After the open call information session:

  • Claire Lepont, Senior TPM, will facilitate meetings between Army project managers and faculty members interested in these research topics between Feb 22 and 24.
  • Concept papers will be solicited by March 10, 2023. If the concept paper is selected a full proposal will be requested subsequently.

This is anticipated to be a competitive call with more submissions than currently available funding. Therefore, submission of a concept paper does not assure selection for funding.

Please RSVP at HEROES@uml.edu if you are interested in attending.
