Manning Executive in Residence

The Manning School of Business Executive in Residence program connects students with experienced industry leaders who bring real-world insight into the classroom.

Our current Executive in Residence is David Laurello ’81, ’88, former president and CEO of Stratus Technologies. Laurello started this program as a way to share his experiences and career insights with the Manning community. In this role, he mentors students during his office hours, delivers guest lectures and collaborates with faculty to ensure coursework reflects current industry trends.

Laurello also teaches courses and develops new content, such as a planned course on crisis leadership, while sharing practical advice gained from decades of leadership experience. His engagement helps bridge the gap between academic learning and the evolving demands of today’s business environment.

Through initiatives like this, students gain direct access to accomplished professionals who provide career guidance, industry perspective and meaningful mentorship.
