In the Community

The Robert J. Manning School of Business engages in a number of community activities. The college is represented locally on the board of the Merrimack Valley Venture Forum and participates in the preparation and delivery of forums. COM is also represented on the downtown board of the Lowell Small Business Assistance Plan and is actively involved in the business incubator activities at UMass Lowell.

In addition to these Lowell business affiliations, the faculty and students are engaged in a range of activities with local business and numerous professional associations. A variety of corporate partnerships also provide class projects, internships, student recruitment, scholarship and research support. Students also work with local nonprofit organizations to help with accounting, marketing and web design. Finally, a number of faculty and students assist the local school systems in delivering a range of Junior Achievement modules and sessions.

The Robert J. Manning School of Business is always looking to increase its presence in the community and meet the needs of the community.
