Using Quick Response (QR) Codes

Use QR codes in printed pieces or slides for the campus Hawki monitors to direct visitors to webpages where they can learn more information. Using UMass Lowell's QR Code Generator helps ensure continued access, since accounts created for external QR code generators can be changed or discontinued, or may expire over time, potentially causing QR codes to stop working.

The generator makes it easy to create and manage branded QR codes, also eliminating the monitoring of our URL traffic by third-party vendors.

• Use QR codes to direct visitors to more information.
• To create QR codes, use the UMass LowellQR Code Generator.
• Add a call-to-action next to the QR code, such as "Scan to register" or "Scan to learn more"
• Add a custom/short web address near the QR code, so people have an alternate way to access the site.
