Expertise

Clinical Hematology, Hemostasis, Laboratory Management and Ethics

Research Interests

Clinical Hematology, hemostasis, laboratory management, and ethics.

My teaching, advising and research activities center on our Clinical Laboratory Science - Medical Technology Program. I also participate in the teaching of support courses taken by all undergraduates in our college. Courses I have taught include the following: Clinical Laboratory Theory, Clinical Hematology, Clinical Hematology Laboratory, Advanced Hemostasis, Laboratory Management and Ethics, Clinical Laboratory Science Senior Seminar, Human Anatomy and Physiology II, Human Anatomy and Physiology II Laboratory, Senior Research, Directed Studies, Topics in Clinical Laboratory Sciences. My present research interests include the following: effects of glycoalkyloids on activity of the formed elements in blood, oxidative metabolism in platelet aggregation, effects of diet and drugs on the hemostatic mechanism and on platelet activity, homocysteine and platelet activity.
