The Graduate Student Association

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is dedicated to enhancing the social, academic and professional development of graduate students at UMass Lowell. Our goal is to reach out to the entire graduate student body through programs and support to create a forum for students and promote a positive environment for personal, professional and academic achievement. We encourage all graduate students to attend meetings, participate in discussions and bring forth issues, but note that only senators from the GSOs may vote.

ATTENTION - UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: All University of Massachusetts - Lowell sponsored, or to be sponsored travel has been cancelled, which means, funding to travel by the GSA PDA applications will not be supported.

All University Events have been cancelled until April 3, at which time everything will be re-evaluated.

Meeting time is at 5 p.m., except when otherwise noted.

Weather / Emergency Policy: if the University is CLOSED on the date of the meeting, then it is cancelled. To check on closures call 978-934-2121, check the UMass Lowell website or sign up at My Alert website for UMass Lowell cancellation notifications.


Download the Club Registration Form

Club Registration forms are due by 5 p.m. on September 25, 2019 to the GSA Adviser's Office in Cumnock Hall Suite 109*. All Club registration received after this date would not be eligible for seed funds. All Clubs must also register with Engage in Student Affairs, before the semester starts, to be eligible for pro-card use.

Fill it out and submit to be eligible for GSA Activities Funding.

PDA Committee Deadlines for 2019 - 2020

Note: the new Online Travel Registration process must be completed BEFORE you travel.

PDA Committee Meetings for 2019 - 2020 (applications are due three business days prior to committee meetings)

GRGA Application Deadlines

  • Fall 2019 Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019.
  • Spring 2020 applications are due by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2020.

PDA and GRGA Applications should be submitted to the respective Committee Chairperson, or sent to *Cumnock Hall, Suite 109, Attn: Tim Corcoran.

*GSA Office is scheduled to move to a new location for the Spring 2020 Semester.
