Biosketch
Tyler Theus is a film scholar working in the areas of post-war art cinema and contemporary film aesthetics. His dissertation work focused on contemporary forms of cinematic realism and he has written and presented on slow cinema, psychoanalysis, realist film theory and the work of David Lynch. He is currently working on a project on the persistence of art cinema in the 21st Century. He is also a co-organizer of the Lowell Film Festival for Future Filmmakers and teaches the Lowell Film Festival course.
