Mechanical Engineering major receives Nordson Builds Scholarship

Mechanical Engineering major Alana Smith, RAMP '19, has received a scholarship from Nordson Corporation. Nordson provides a number of manufacturing industry scholarships to college students across the country, through a program they created called Nordson BUILDS. The purpose of the program is to attract a diverse range of talented individuals to the manufacturing industry, while lessening the financial burden of post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded in three categories: Career & Technical, University Scholars and Creating Equity in Industry. Recipients of this scholarship are selected based on their academic achievement, character, leadership, school and community involvement, and major.
