Register to be inducted into the Order of the Engineer and order your ring.

The Pledge

The Order serves as a reminder of the engineer's duty to serve society, similar to the Hippocratic Oath in medicine. Wearing the engineer's ring symbolizes pride in being an engineer and a moral and ethical responsibility to society.

The Ring

The Order of the Engineer stainless steel ring is worn on the small finger (pinky finger) of the dominant hand. Please use the Zales online ring-sizer to determine the ring size you would like to order, or visit the Dean's Office in Southwick Hall, Room 250 to be sized. We will be staffed for sizing assistance from January 26 to February 12 from 1-3 p.m. Please use the measurement of ring sizes, not millimeters. Upon submitting the registration form, you will be directed to provide a $12 online payment, which includes the cost of your ring and the lifetime membership fee.

Eligibility

UMass Lowell engineering alumni, students who have graduated in the last six months who may not have received a ring, and students who are within one academic year of graduation.
