Our changing climate presents one of the most important challenges of the 21st century. Science helps us understand how the atmosphere has changed over time and how the future climate might impact our lives. Now, it’s your chance to teach others about the science of climate change through art.

Art & Science Mentor Workshops

This year with the help of a National Science Foundation grant we offered Art & Science workshops designed for adult mentors working with K-12 students in Massachusetts, Kansas, and Missouri. They were held on:

  • September 28, 2019 - Tsongas Industrial History Center - Lowell, Mass.
  • October 11, 2019 - Union Station - Kansas City, Mo.
  • October 12, 2019 - Boys & Girls Club - Topeka, Kan.
  • October 19, 2019 - Worcester Art Museum - Worcester, Mass.

During these hands-on workshops, mentors learned how to educate youth about the science of extreme weather through artistic expression.  If you are interested in attending one of our workshops in the future, please complete an application.  If you have any questions, please contact us by email: coolscience@uml.edu.
