Research Interests
Ramalho's research interests center on building educator capacity and self-efficacy to effectively support the diverse social-emotional and behavioral needs of students within inclusive educational settings. Ramalho is particularly interested in inclusive practices in general education classrooms, the development and sustainability of professional learning communities, and systems that promote equitable outcomes for all learners. Additionally, Ramalho is committed to implementing best practices to prepare and support pre-service teachers through the use of evidence-based and reflective practices that strengthen their readiness to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students. His work also focuses on supporting educators and school leaders in applying improvement science principles to study and address equity-based problems of practice within their schools and organizations.

Biosketch
Jayson Ramalho serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Education, where he currently teaches undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Education (B.A.Ed.) program, including Special Education Practicum and Seminar and Classroom Management and Behavioral Supports. He has also supported doctoral students in the Ed.D. program as they apply improvement science principles to investigate equity-centered problems of practice within educational settings. In addition to his higher education work, Ramalho serves as an Assistant Principal in the Chelmsford Public Schools. Prior to his work in school leadership, he taught in the Methuen Public Schools.
