Biological Safety Training for Non-Lab Workers
In compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Standard, all employees who are considered at risk of occupational exposure to BBP shall be identified, receive training, be provided adequate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and be offered the Hepatitis B vaccination at no cost to themselves.
To complete your Biosafety training for the first time:
- Complete the identification of risk form: Determination of Occupational Exposure to BBP.
- Take the online training module and quiz (internet access is required). Please note, the quiz will be sent to the users email as well as BioSafety@uml.edu. Please print the quiz results and retain your results, which will act as proof of completion. This training must be refreshed yearly.
