The Office of National Scholarships at UMass Lowell provides guidance to both graduate and undergraduate students about major national fellowships and scholarships across all academic disciplines.

Fellowships-Fulbright
These prestigious and competitive awards can be used for graduate study, study abroad, internships, language training, and other purposes. Amounts vary from $5,000 to $50,000 per year.
Each scholarship has its own protocols in terms of eligibility, funding, mission and so forth. Students are advised to begin the search and application process at least a year in advance.
The Office of National Scholarships offers advice and support before, during, and after the application process, which can often be time-consuming and complex. Our office helps students find and apply for nationally competitive scholarships including the Boren, Fulbright, Gates-Cambridge, Gilman, Goldwater, Marshall, Mitchell, NSF GRFP, Soros, Truman, and Udall Scholarships. All UMass Lowell students are welcome to contact National Scholarship Advisor Rae Mansfield at Rachel_Mansfield@uml.edu for application assistance.
