We provide guidance to UMass Lowell graduate and undergraduate students and alumni applying for major national fellowships and scholarships across all academic disciplines.

These prestigious and competitive awards can be used for graduate study, study abroad, internships, language training, and other purposes.

Each scholarship has its own protocols in terms of eligibility, funding, mission and so forth. Students are advised to begin the search and application process at least a year in advance.

We offer workshops, advice, and support before, during, and after the application process, which can often be time-consuming and complex. National Scholarship Advisement helps students find and apply for nationally competitive external scholarships including the Boren, Fulbright, Gates-Cambridge, Gilman, Goldwater, Marshall, Mitchell, NSF GRFP, Soros, Truman, and Udall Scholarships. All UMass Lowell students are welcome to contact Associate Director of Scholarship & Curriculum Rae Mansfield by email: Rae_Mansfield@uml.edu for application assistance.
