Biosketch

Dr. JoAnn Morarity-Baron began her career as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the mid-eighties working with severely neurologically impaired children and adults. She graduated from the University of Lowell 1991 with a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy and obtained her Doctoral degree from Simmons College in 2008. She has worked in a number of clinical settings in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She has most recently practiced at Southern New Hampshire Rehabilitation Center where she established their Vestibular Rehabilitation Program. She is certified Competent in Vestibular Rehabilitation and trained in NDT. The remainder of her clinical practice has been with patients who suffer with neurological dysfunction and deficits in balance and abnormal gait. In addition to clinical practice, she was a member of faculty at Hesser College in the Physical Therapist Assistant program for nine years where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the neurological component of the curriculum. She has been an Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell since 2008.
