The Mahoney Gallery at UMass Lowell is coordinated by the Art & Design Department and showcases current artwork by students within the B.F.A. program as well as selected alumni exhibitions. Programming includes the Foundations show, an annual juried exhibition, Pop-up shows and the Student Art Union Benefit exhibition. Pop-up shows are one-week exhibits spotlighting artwork from the Art & Design program that are organized and curated by B.F.A students.

The Mahoney Gallery is located on the 2nd floor of Mahoney Hall at 870 Broadway Street, Lowell.

Student Photography: Pictures of People

Reception: Tuesday, March 20 at 3:30 p.m. in the Mahoney Gallery on the 2nd floor of Mahoney Hall, 870 Broadway St. 

This exhibition, curated by Art & Design senior BFA candidate Stephanie Laflamme, is a creative collaboration that seeks to explore what lies behind the mask we present to the world. From portraits of faces to fragments of shadows, from large scale prints to groupings of intimate photographs, this show covers the walls of the Mahoney Gallery with eye-catching images. This body of work includes photographs by Khand Tenny, Lindsey Napolitano, Julie Howard, Andréa DeLisle, Sarachedra May, Jennifer Vivier, Meghan Quinn, Hue le, John T. Cullen, Renée Gonsalves-Lamontagne, Kimberly Cosgrove, Karisa Gaudet, Stephanie Laflamme, Katie Barry, Matthew Jarbeau, Cameron Walsh, Cameron Blanchard, Dana Cram, Anna McCarthy, Teresa Santana, Brandon Beaudoin, Caitlin Mitchell, Benn Lafortune, Elisabeth Auffant, Kevin Awino, Jennifer Santamaria, William Clockedile, Hayley Andrade, Austin Wells, and Chelsea Gray.
