Caitlin Foley is an artist, curator, and educator with a background in arts administration. As an artist she employs traditional drawing, fiber, and printmaking techniques within a contemporary framework of multimedia and participatory installation. She works collaboratively with artist Misha Rabinovich to create artworks which respond to culturally relevant, yet sometimes utopic examples of sharing communities, livable ecologies, and the transmutation of waste. Among other things they create interactive games, installations and happenings where audience participation is a key component of the work and its message. Foley’s recent work has been exhibited at EFA Project Space (NYC), Flux Factory (NYC), the New Museum’s Ideas City Festival (NYC), Marymount California University (LA), the Torrance Art Museum (LA), the Everson Museum of Art (Syracuse, NY) and the Arts Center of the Capital Region (Troy, NY).
