Biosketch

Robert E. Nunn was a Professor of Plastics Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1985 to 2008 and served as Department Head from 1992-1999. He joined the University following 20 years in industry, where he held engineering and management positions in the automotive, materials, and plastics machinery industries in the United Kingdom and the USA - the most recent as Technical Director for HPM Corporation. He serves as a consultant to the plastics industry in the injection molding field and holds numerous publications and patents. Professor Nunn is a Fellow of SPE and past-Chairman of the Society’s Injection Molding Division. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials (UK), a registered Professional Engineer and a United Kingdom Chartered Engineer. Additionally, he is a Member of A.S.M.E., A.S.E.E., P.P.S. and I.Mech.E and has served as a Director for P.I.A. and for the New England Division of S.P.I.
