STAY TUNED... We will start announcing the honorees of this year's art competition on Monday, February 19, 2018 on facebook and twitter!
Each day we will release the names and pictures of two honorees. Thank you to everyone who participated this year!
Our changing climate presents one of the most important challenges of the 21st century. Science helps us understand how the atmosphere has changed over time and how the future climate might impact our lives. Now, it’s your chance to teach others about the science of climate change through art.
For our 6th annual climate change artwork competition, we asked students and teachers to choose one of the following questions to address with their artwork:
- How are plants in Massachusetts being affected by climate change?
- How does the changing climate affect extreme weather in New England?
- What can we do to be ready for extreme weather events caused by climate change?
- What inventions are people making to reduce the impacts of climate change?
DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1, 2017.
The top six entries will be displayed on the Lowell Regional Transit Authority (LRTA) buses in the Spring.
