Students who may be in need of specialized accommodations and services that the university is able to provide must contact Disability Services in a timely manner in order that their specific needs may be determined and that the services which can be provided by the university may be discussed with them. The Office of Disability Services is located in University Crossing and may be contacted in person or by email at Disability@uml.edu. Students for whom accommodations are appropriate must present the instructor with official notification from Disability Services at the beginning of each course. Accommodations are not retroactive. Please visit the Disability Services website for further information.
Course information can be found in the UMass Lowell online Undergraduate and Graduate catalogs.
At the beginning of the semester in which you intend to complete your degree, you must file a Declaration of Intent to Graduate form with the Registrar's office no later than the final clearance date as set in the Graduate Academic Calendar.
You must be registered for your final course(s) during the semester you have filed for degree clearance, or if your coursework as been completed, you must be registered for Continued Matriculation (CONT.6010).
The Registrar's office will verify course credit, and grade and GPA requirements. Names of students who have satisfied all degree requirements are then forwarded to the appropriate college faculty for endorsement, and finally recommended to the Office of the Provost for graduation.
Note: Students who complete degree requirements, but fail to file a declaration of intent to graduate form will not be recommended to the Office of the Provost for graduation, and conferral of degree will be delayed until the following semester when an approved declaration as been filed.
