Students engaged in meaningful discussion on leading with integrity, building trust, and developing the courage to make impactful decisions. The session provided practical advice and real-world perspectives on balancing strength and authenticity for a long-term professional growth.

Ken Wagner emphasized that a strong company culture is essential for long-term employee retention and that leaders must exemplify the dedication they expect from their teams. Joe Albanese focused on the power of trust and reputation, stating that true leadership inspires voluntary commitment and that strong interpersonal relationships are the bedrock of organizational success. Steve Serabian advised on personal career management, stressing that career paths are often non-linear and that professionals should prioritize their fulfillment and be willing to embrace change when necessary.

Shah, a former CEO who led the successful sale of his company to Blackstone and a current board member at Happiest Minds Technologies, shared his expertise in Generative AI and corporate strategy. He presented a strategic framework of "Seven Leadership Principles," providing students with practical tools essential for developing effective leadership strategies and driving entrepreneurial success.

Understanding Emotional Intelligence

On October 9, 2025, Shah Academy scholars participated in a workshop featuring guest speaker Lisa A. Brothers. Lisa introduced the concept of Emotional Intelligence and its critical importance for both personal relationships and professional leadership. During the session, they discussed their individual results to identify their innate strengths and pinpoint areas for improvement. The Workshop offered students an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with a leader at the forefront of innovation in the field.  

Leadership Lessons in Ethics, Integrity, Courage and Humility

Strategic Planning

Students also engaged in an activity to map out a potential career path and identify the skills needed to reach their goals.
