Each year, the Faculty Symposium includes several sessions of lightning talks.

Lighting talks are 90-second presentations by UMass Lowell faculty and staff about their research, teaching innovations, creative works, community engagement projects, and more. Presenters can pitch an idea, invite collaborators for an existing or future project, and provide information about a shared resource.

Format

Lightning Talk presenters have the option of preparing a PowerPoint slide that will be displayed during the 90-second presentation. Given the brevity of the presentation, a single slide is recommended. We do not recommend adding video to your slide.

Registration

To register, please complete the lightning talk registration form. Presentation slots are limited so please register as soon as possible. The deadline for lightning talk registration is Friday, Nov. 6 at 5 p.m. EST or until all slots are taken.
