Biosketch

Katherine Ravenswood is an Associate Professor in Employment Relations at AUT in Auckland, New Zealand. Her research focuses on several themes that have at heart the examination of power, gender and diversity in the employment relationship, both now and historically: Care/work regimes (eg paid & unpaid care work, work-life balance etc); wellbeing, voice and power; gender and diversity in work. She has published in journals such as Gender, Work & Organization, the Journal of Industrial Relations and the International Journal of Human Resource Management. Katherine leads the Care/Work Research Group at AUT University (New Zealand). She is involved in national policy development for the care workforce and has held appointments with a number of industry and government boards and organizations, such as the Kaiāwhina Workforce Action Plan, the Caring Counts Coalition (Human Rights Commission) and has worked on committees such as the 'Inbetween Time Settlement Parties Action Group -Workstream 2 (Ministry of Health).
