Professor Phan’s research interest centers on corporate finance policies including investment, capital structure, liquidity, payout, and pension, and their effects on firm risk and value. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Financial Management.

Biosketch
Professor Phan had more than 12 years working in the industry, advising companies like Boeing and GE on trade issues, before joining the academic world. He has taught courses in Corporate Finance, Investments, Derivatives and Financial Risk Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, Corporate Governance and Restructuring at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and doctoral seminar in Corporate Finance Theories.
