Devon Milisci is a program coordinator at the Rist Institute for Sustainability and Energy, where she currently supports the Clean Energy and Environment Legacy Transition initiative as well as the Climate Cool Schools program. In her role with CELT, Devon coordinates and manages a cohort of student fellows, providing guidance, structure, and mentorship as they work on clean energy and environmental projects across the Commonwealth. Helping students grow their skills, gain hands-on experience, and explore future clean-energy career pathways is one of her favorite parts of the job.

Devon's background is in K–12 education, most recently in educational technology, and is passionate about applying that experience to her work with higher-education students and community partners. Transitioning into the clean energy field has been an exciting next step for Devon, aligning closely with her commitment to sustainability and hands-on environmental learning. Getting to work again with K–12 students in Lowell through Climate Cool Schools has been a welcome and joyful full-circle moment in her career.

Devon holds a bachelor’s degree from UMass Lowell and is currently pursuing her MBA. Growing up just outside of Lowell, Devon has always felt a deep connection to the area. Returning to UMass Lowell as both an alumna and staff member allows her to bridge her roots in the region with her passion for education and sustainability. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, including her two young children and her beloved senior pug.
