Our Generous Supporters
This year's Chancellor's Speaker Series event, "A Conversation with Oprah Winfrey," raised over $3 million for student scholarships and UML's first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign, “Our Legacy, Our Place,” not only met but surpassed its $125 million goal.
Free Train Rides
Thanks to a pilot program, UMass Lowell students, faculty and staff are able to ride the MBTA Lowell commuter rail train to and from Boston for free.

Superstar DI Athletes
In the women's soccer team's first America East postseason appearance in program history, the River Hawks advanced all the way to the conference championship game, falling one game short of an NCAA tournament berth. And, long distance runner Paul Hogan closed out his incredible cross country career by finishing 60th at the NCAA Cross Country 10K National Championships.
Groundbreaking Research
Supported by a $7.9 million grant from the National Institutes of Health, M2D2 will establish a new center to assist inventors pioneering promising new point-of-care devices and technologies for patients with heart, lung, blood and sleep disorders.
