Assistant Professor Fanglin Che has co-published an article in the prestigious journal Nature Catalysis that has been featured on the journal cover page.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are becoming increasingly important in many areas, including catalyst discovery. The cover image of Nature Catalysis Feb. 2023 Issue highlights a review by Hongliang Xin of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, Fanglin Che of UMass Lowell and Neil M. Schweitzer from Northwestern, which discusses strategies to utilize machine learning to bridge the complexity gap that currently exists between real and computed catalytic systems. Mingyu Wan, Ph.D. student in Che's group, is the second author in the article.
