The Hockey Pep Band, known as the “Best in the East” by Boston sportswriters, regularly performs for thousands at the Tsongas Center and also performs as a Jazz Ensemble in the Department of Music at the Moloney Performing Arts Center. This Jazz Rock Big Band music ensemble features many of the best instrumental musicians at UMass Lowell.
Auditions for the spring semester will be held Nov. 23, 2026, at Moloney Performing Arts Center.
- Instrumentation: trumpets, trombones, saxes and rhythm section
- Time: 5:30–10:30 p.m.
