This week, from Oct. 19–23, UMass Lowell will celebrate National Transfer Student Week — and everyone is invited!
Nearly half of UMass Lowell’s undergraduate students are transfer students. They bring valuable experiences, perspectives and talents to our classrooms, organizations and campus community. Transfer Week is an opportunity for all of us to recognize and celebrate the important role transfer students play at UMass Lowell.
Throughout the week, campus offices and colleges will host a variety of welcoming events, including:
- A luncheon with the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences
- Games, snacks and opportunities to connect with the Francis College of Engineering
- Sip n’ Spin events with CLASS, including advising support and giveaways
- A BLA information session and luncheon with FAHSS
- Lego Night with the Transfer Alliance Program
- Degree-planning and career-readiness workshops
- An Honors transfer student mixer
- A mini club fair with the Kennedy College of Sciences
- A River Hawks hockey game at the Tsongas Center
Whether you are a transfer student, a faculty or staff member, or a student who wants to show your support, you are invited to join us. Stop by one of the events, meet members of our transfer community and pick up a free Transfer Support sticker.
Faculty, staff and students can also stop by the Provost’s Office in Meehan Student Center, Room 480, during National Transfer Student Week to pick up a sticker and show their support.
At UMass Lowell, we love our transfer students. We are grateful for all they bring to our university, and we look forward to celebrating them all week long.
