Are you or someone you know a junior or first-year graduate student majoring in engineering at UMass Lowell?

We invite engineering students to apply for the S-STEM Scholarship Program, which offers eligible students up to $10,000 per year, along with mentoring and academic support.

Program benefits

  • Group mentoring activities and opportunities to build a supportive community with fellow scholars
  • Workshops and one-on-one advising
  • Connections with mentors within and outside the university

Eligibility requirements

This is a two-year scholarship program, so students must be graduating with their bachelor's or master's degree, or completing their qualifying exam, by May 2028. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, have a 3.0 GPA, major in engineering and demonstrate financial need.

Application deadline: Oct. 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
