Please join me in congratulating Dr. Shaina Roy on her appointment as associate dean for teaching and undergraduate studies in the Kennedy College of Sciences.
Over the past three years, as a faculty member and director of student success, Shaina has made significant contributions to our students and the college through her leadership in student success, advising and teaching. We are delighted that she will bring her experience and commitment to this new leadership role.
As part of this transition, Dr. Roy will leave the faculty of Biological Sciences. Although we will miss having her as a faculty colleague, we look forward to the energy, expertise and student-centered perspective she will bring to her work as associate dean.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who served on the search committee. Your time, thoughtful deliberation and commitment to identifying an outstanding candidate were invaluable to this process.
