The Oral-Systemic Triad: Investigating the Links Between Periodontitis and Cognitive Function and the Impact of Omega-3 Fatty Acids on Oral and Systemic Inflammation
Dr. Ahmad will explore the oral-systemic-cognitive connection, examining how periodontal disease and chronic inflammation may impact cognitive, cardiovascular and overall health. She will also discuss research on omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, and their potential to reduce oral and systemic inflammation, highlighting the importance of integrated medical and dental care.
