Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Brenda Dumont, whose 28-year career at UMass Lowell has been defined by her knowledge, dedication and commitment to supporting the university community.

Brenda began her career with the Research Foundation in Wannalancit Mills as a Business Administrator, where she was responsible for overseeing various business administration functions. She later transitioned into benefits administration, becoming the Benefits Administrator for all employees funded through grants and contracts.

Brenda continued to build a distinguished career in the University’s Human Resources (HR) department, where she worked in benefits administration before transitioning to the recruitment side of HR, where she played an important role in recruitment and employment services, helping departments navigate the hiring process and connecting candidates with employment opportunities across the university. Throughout her career, Brenda has served as a trusted resource to faculty, staff and administrators, sharing her expertise, providing thoughtful guidance and helping ensure that important work moved forward.

Brenda has supported countless searches, answered innumerable questions, helped colleagues navigate change and contributed to the development and improvement of HR processes. Her institutional knowledge and practical insight have made her an invaluable resource, colleague, mentor and friend. Brenda has brought warmth, humor and genuine care to her work and relationships. 

Join us as we celebrate Brenda’s remarkable career and wish her a joyful and well-deserved retirement.
