As a new academic year gets underway and our calendars begin to fill, we invite everyone to keep the many religious and spiritual traditions represented across our campus community in mind.

One meaningful way we can foster a sense of belonging is to consult the Interfaith Calendar when planning meetings, programs, celebrations and other campus activities. The Interfaith Calendar link is also included on UML’s scheduling site, appearing on the pop-up notification window as you log into Book It.

We recognize that scheduling is complex and that no calendar can capture every tradition or individual practice. Still, a brief check before selecting a date can help us avoid conflicts with significant observances whenever possible. When conflicts do arise, thoughtful communication and flexibility can make a meaningful difference for students, faculty and staff.

Thank you for keeping the Interfaith Calendar in mind as you plan for the year ahead and for the many ways you contribute to a welcoming campus community.
