Welcome back, UMass Lowell. It’s lecture capture time.
Please don’t forget to request lecture capture if you want to record and share your courses this semester. UMass Lowell can accommodate lecture capture in most classrooms, but the process cannot begin without a request from you.
To request lecture capture:
- Go to the Lecture Capture request form.
- Log in and review the courses SiS has you scheduled to teach.
- Check off the course or courses you want recorded.
- Click Submit.
We will take it from there and send confirmation for the scheduled recordings. Confirmations are sent a few times just prior to the start of classes to allow for any last-minute room assignments or schedule changes.
Have a special request for a course? Use Add a Note on the request form to tell us things like “capture the whiteboard,” “out for a conference on DD/MM” or “I tend to run over by about 10 minutes,” and we can make adjustments.
Recordings are typically available within two hours after recording and will be automatically transcribed for closed captions.
The recommended method to share your recordings with students is through Canvas. View brief video instructions and common EchoVideo tutorials.
You can also log in directly to EchoVideo.
Questions? Contact us at help@uml.edu or call 978-934-4357.
Please provide a minimum 24-hour prior notice for all recording requests.
