After more than 20 years of dedicated service to UMass Lowell, Senior Executive Director of Business Operations & Strategic Initiatives Tom Hoole will retire on Friday, July 25.

Tom joined UMass Lowell in 2006 and has provided exceptional leadership in procurement and business operations. Under his direction, Procurement Services earned the National Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award for three consecutive years, making UMass Lowell the only public agency in Massachusetts to receive this distinction. Throughout his career, Tom helped the university realize millions of dollars in savings while building a culture centered on customer service, collaboration and integrity.
