The Office of Residence Life is pleased to share that interest in on-campus living continues to grow among students and their families. In recent years, demand for campus housing has steadily increased. As many of you may recall, last fall we opened all 11 residence halls at full capacity and maintained a modest housing waitlist throughout the semester.

To meet this growing demand, we are excited to announce the addition of a 12th residential location for the upcoming academic year. Residence Life will operate one dedicated floor of The Edge Merrimack River apartments (located at 1 Merrimack Plaza near the Tsongas Center). This desirable apartment-style community on the 5th floor will be staffed and supported by the Office of Residence Life, providing students with another high-quality housing option while remaining connected to the campus residential experience.

Current students will soon receive additional information about this new housing opportunity. If you are working with students who may have questions about this option, please encourage them to watch for communications from Residence Life or contact our office directly at reslife@uml.edu.

We are excited to expand our housing portfolio and continue providing residential opportunities that support student success, engagement, and connection to the university community.
