We’re thrilled to share some exciting news—our next featured author for the Andre Dubus III Alumni Book Club at UMass Lowell is none other than Ann Patchett. Following an unforgettable conversation with Stephen King, we’re honored to welcome another literary powerhouse. Ann, one of today’s most celebrated literary voices, is the bestselling author of beloved novels including “The Dutch House,” “Tom Lake,” “Commonwealth” and “Bel Canto.” She is known for her richly drawn characters and deeply human storytelling.

We are honored to be among the first book clubs to be featuring Ann in conversation about her highly anticipated new book, “Whistler.” Join us for a special virtual book club discussion led by Andre Dubus III, where Ann will share insights into her work, writing process and more.

Date: Thursday, July 16, 2026
Time: 4 to 5:30 p.m.
