TURI is pleased to invite proposals from academic faculty for funding to identify, evaluate and/or develop safer alternatives to toxic chemicals. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis.

Since 1992, TURI has supported over 100 research projects from Massachusetts universities. Each year the number of academic research grants awarded is contingent upon the amount of funding TURI receives from the Massachusetts legislature, and the quality of the proposals received. For the upcoming academic year, we anticipate that TURI will fund 1 or 2 research projects, and this solicitation is limited to only UMass Lowell faculty and their graduate students.
