After 29 years of dedicated service to UMass Lowell, Andrew Alfano of the Instructional Technology Services Department is retiring.

Throughout nearly three decades at the university, Andrew has played an essential role in shaping the technology experience across campus. From classrooms and conference rooms to event and presentation spaces, his work has touched virtually every corner of UMass Lowell. His expertise, reliability, and commitment ensured that countless lectures, meetings, conferences, and campus events ran smoothly behind the scenes.

Andrew has been instrumental in building, supporting, and maintaining the technology infrastructure that faculty, staff, students, and visitors rely on every day. His deep knowledge, steady presence, and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact on the university community.
