The Faculty and Staff Health and Wellness Committee, in collaboration with Campus Recreation, will host a weekly ruck on Wednesdays at 4:15 p.m., starting at the Campus Recreation Center from May 27-Aug. 19.
Whether you’re curious about rucking or just looking for a fun way to get outside and move, this is for you! We’ll be doing a relaxed, beginner-friendly afternoon ruck with no pressure and no experience needed. Rucking is simply walking or hiking with a weighted backpack. To learn more, visit GoRuck.com.
What to bring:
- Water
- Comfortable walking shoes
- A backpack that can hold 5+ lbs. of weight
This is a great chance to meet others, learn the basics, and get a feel for what rucking is all about. We will ruck in the rain or shine, however, in the event of a thunderstorm, the ruck will be cancelled. Cancellations will be posted on Instagram: @umlcampusrec
