Please join the Lowell Center for Space Science and Technology for a seminar by Frank White on Thursday, April 30 at 11 a.m.

Title: Artemis 2 and Apollo 8: The Rise of "Overview Thinking"

Abstract: The Overview Effect is the transformational experience of seeing the Earth from space and in space. It shows astronauts that our planet is an interconnected whole, without borders or boundaries, in which everything and everybody is interconnected. Artemis 2 and Apollo 8 are two examples of Overview Thinking at a time when Surface Thinking took the planet into a dangerous phase. Will Overview Thinking become main street, even a dominant worldview? We will discuss these topics in our meeting.
