Please join us at the Kennedy College of Sciences for our spring “Conversation Starter” on “The Science of Extremes.”

Though we typically describe our world in terms of norms and averages, it is often the extremes that have the greatest impacts on our lives. At this semester’s Conversation Starter, faculty from across campus will share their groundbreaking research into the dynamics and impacts of extreme conditions across human health, violence, decision making, weather, and planetary habitability.

"Conversation Starters” are once-a-semester events from the Kennedy College of Sciences aimed at getting everyone thinking about science innovations in both expert and lay-terms. No prior expertise is required, just an interest in exploring how science can make a big impact!

Date: Wednesday, March 25
Time: 9 - 11 a.m.
Location: Alumni Hall
