RESILIENCE: A Film Series – Spring 2026

The Department of World Languages and Cultures continues RESILIENCE: A Film Series this Spring with the screening of Taste of Hope (Le Goût de l’Espoir).

We invite you to the next film screening of Taste of Hope (Le Goût de l’Espoir), a powerful documentary that explores labor, solidarity, and the pursuit of a more just economic future.

Released in 2019, Taste of Hope follows the workers of a self-managed tea factory in France who, after successfully resisting Unilever’s plans to close their plant, take ownership of their workplace. As they navigate financial hardship, internal conflict, and the pressures of a competitive global market, the film raises a compelling question: how must we work today to create a better world tomorrow?
