The City of Lowell's Black History Trail Markers offer a self-guided way to explore the people, places and stories central to the city's Black history.

Located throughout downtown Lowell, the permanent markers highlight significant individuals, events and sites, including early abolitionist history, desegregated education, community leadership and cultural contributions. Each marker includes a QR code that provides additional historical context and resources.
