The Faculty Excellence Awards recognize outstanding contributions by UMass Lowell faculty in teaching, mentoring, and community engagement. In addition, we are excited to introduce a new Award for Excellence in Research this year. This new award expands our ability to celebrate the breadth of faculty achievement and scholarly impact across the University.
Faculty are encouraged to nominate colleagues, and self-nominations are welcome. Detailed information about all award categories, eligibility criteria, required materials, timelines, and evaluation rubrics is available on the Faculty Excellence Awards website and application portal.
As part of the application process, nominees will be asked to request support letters from colleagues and students through the portal. Because this process takes time and advance planning, we strongly encourage faculty to review the guidelines and begin their applications early.
We hope you will consider applying, nominating a colleague, or sharing this opportunity within your department as we celebrate faculty excellence across teaching, research, mentoring, and engagement.
