Join UMass Lowell professor Jonathan Silverman for a reading titled “How and Why the World Loves the Man in Black” on Saturday, November 22 at 4 p.m. at lala books, 189 Market St., Lowell. The event features Silverman’s work with coauthor Michael Hinds, Johnny Cash International, a study of Johnny Cash’s global following and the ways audiences around the world have connected with his music and image.

This reading is presented as part of the Page to Stage program in partnership with Merrimack Repertory Theatre’s production of "Ring of Fire," the musical celebration of Johnny Cash’s life and songs.
