"Deciphering Microbial Modes of Action in Probiotic Strategies for Pathogen Resistance in Poultry"
Friday, November 21
2 p.m.
Location: Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center (ETIC) Atrium or via Zoom
Ashley Grosche leads the Microbiology Department at Aviwell, a biotechnology company harnessing the molecular mechanisms through which the gut microbiome controls host health and energy metabolism. From such molecular understanding, Aviwell has developed a hybrid in vivo-in silico platform ANETO®, an Al-driven discovery platform to enhance targets such as animal health and performance using second-generation, function-based microbial ecologies. Her work focuses on developing and characterizing microbial ecologies that promote immune training to improve the defense against infections and optimize host growth across avian, aquaculture, and human systems, bridging research and application to translate ecological insights into scalable, safe probiotic solutions.
