As a follow-up to our previous update, the roofing contractor working on the Campus Recreation Center has continued to address the skylight work that required additional coordination and repairs. While progress has been made, this issue and weather have impacted the overall project timeline.
As a result, the gymnasium courts and indoor track will remain unavailable through the remainder of the semester. The university and construction team continue to work diligently to complete the work. We look forward to returning to our regular programs and activities on the gymnasium court and indoor track as soon as possible.
We recognize that these spaces are an important part of the UMass Lowell community experience and appreciate your continued patience and understanding. The construction team is working hard to ensure a safe, high-quality result that will serve our campus for years to come.
Please note the fitness centers, studios and other areas of the Campus Recreation Center remain open and available for use.
